Mark Weston
Mark Weston is a policy consultant, researcher and writer, whose previous reports for 2020health included Not Immune: UK Vaccination Policy in a Changing World, and Take Care: The Future of Funding for Social Care. He has close links with the Harvard School of Public Health, UK policy consultancy River Path Associates, and UCLAs David Geffen School of Medicine, and is a contributor to Global Dashboard, the foreign affairs blog.

Barbara Arzymanow
Barbara is a founding director of an independent healthcare consultancy firm. She has been an investment analyst specialising in Pharmaceuticals for 25 years, prior to which she carried out academic medical research in university laboratories. Her experience, obtained entirely from outside the pharmaceutical industry, gives her a unique, political perspective independent of commercial lobbies. She has extensive experience in financing the biotechnology industry, which is vital for the long-term standing of medical research in the UK. She has always been inspired by the scientific excellence within the UK and would like to see collaborations between industry, the NHS and academia strengthened

Matt James
Matt James is a bioethics and public policy consultant with a particular interest in the intersection of values, technology and public policy. He has a wide ranging portfolio of expertise which spans the arenas of public policy, academia and third sector, including working in Parliament as a parliamentary researcher for a MP and shadow minister.
Skilled in research, administration and new media development, Matt has convened numerous series of public symposia which have helped initiate and bring together key stakeholders to discuss the ethical, social and legal implications of new technologies. With a desire to further discussion amongst the whole of society on these questions, Matt has been involved with writing on these issues as well as participating in several EU funded projects exploring public responses to new technologies.
Matt has an undergraduate degree in political history and sociology as well as a Master's degree in bioethics and medical law. He was recently elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce (FRSA).
Researchers
Carl Packman
Carl Packman is a researcher at 2020health and completed his Bachelors degree at the London Metropolitan University in Film and Philosophy. After completing his degree he became a learning support assistant in a school with a majority Traveller population, before moving to London to become a researcher in children’s policy for a social enterprise called Care Matters Partnership. He was an independent researcher in this field for a freelance consultant for six months, after which he became a researcher for the Westminster Health Forum, before joining 2020.
Alongside these positions, Carl has sat on an steering panel for the think tank Respublica on a project they carried out on children and social capital, has had published a great deal of written material for the Guardian, the New Statesman, The Philosopher’s Magazine as well as being a regular blogger and book reviewer for the LSE blog. Recently he completed a book-length study of the payday lending industry which will be released by finance publisher Searching Finance later in 2012.
Alicia Snushall
Alicia completed her Bachelors degree at the University of Ottawa, with Honours in Communications (public and media relations) and a Concentration in Political Science. While attending the UofO, Alicia completed a thesis that examined the public and media relations strategy of the City of Toronto during the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) crisis in 2003. Alicia has also completed her Masters in Public Policy at King’s College London. She completed a dissertation paper that looked at the disparity in health outcomes of Aboriginals with the Canadian population. Before joining 2020health, Alicia was researching the credit union movement in Ghana and Sierra Leone.

- Beverley-Ann Perera-Anderson
Beverley-Ann Perera-Anderson
Beverley completed her Bachelors degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in Psychology. While attending UIUC, Beverley enrolled in a domestic violence lab where she volunteered to complete an optional thesis paper that invested domestic violence. Her paper looked at the frequency of screening for domestic violence by health care professionals. Beverley has also completed her Masters in Mental Health studies in 2011 at King’s College London. She completed a dissertation paper that looked at the emotion of trust experienced by psychotic patients. For over nine years Beverley has dedicated her time to helping people in a variety of age groups that are disabled as well as helping people faced with mental health problems. Beverley is passionate about helping others and is thoroughly interested in the mental health of others. She has grown up with the intention to help others that are faced with mental anguish and to better understand this area. She plans on continuing her studies in the field of Psychology, and wishes to go on to complete her Doctrine degree.
