History

2020health.org was formed at the end of May 2006 by Julia Manning with the support of numerous health professionals and stakeholders in healthcare. Right from the start its aim was to enable grassroots to develop and influence policy based on their knowledge and expertise. Buliding up a primary source of front line experience remains one of the core aims along with the development of thinking and proposals for improving healthcare in the UK.

In the past we have worked with amongst others Pfizer, Dental Practitioners Association, Genzyme, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Royal College of Surgeons, Sanofi Aventis, Astrazeneca, Dispensing Doctors Association, EDS-Hewlett Packard, The Dental Technician and Black Mental Health UK. We have produced significant reports on Dentistry, Obesity, Vaccination, Access to Medicines and Commissioning.

Ultimately we want to see more people enjoying good health through improved public health in the UK, being a leader in uptake of innovation, empowering people to live healthier lives and translating good practices at an international level.
